I loved the attention to detail in both the beautiful aesthetics and amenities that I feel are often lacking in larger establishments and even some 5 star hotels. I loved it so much here that I tried to extend my stay. However, due to it's popularity it wasn't possible. I then moved onto a larger chain hotel on the main Calle Larios thinking it would be more convenient due to it's cental location in comparison to Icon Malaber, but I instantly missed Icon Malaber, for its peaceful and less touristic location, which was still close enough to all the main attractions. The staff were lovely and helpful and I enjoyed the breakfast! The bathtub in the Junior Suite was super special, and I felt like I had my own perfect respite in that beautiful room. I've already recommended it to friends and family and hope to visit once again. Malaga was a perfect balance of sun, culture, food, and fun, as well as tranquillity.

This is my second time staying at ICON Malabar and I love it - the ambience of the hotel is great all the way from reception to the room. It’s clean, tidy, smells great and the staff are really friendly. The room is lovely, has all the main amenities, with a comfy bed, powerful shower and a lovely balcony too. There are also some nice extra touches in the room such as included dental kit, shower cap, toothbrush etc as well as a fridge and kettle with teas and coffee. The cleaning is great, it was always really well maintained I found and the reception smelt fresh too. The location itself is brilliant, a 5 minute walk to the centre and about 23 mins (beautiful) walk to the beach. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe staying at ICON Malabar and the surrounding location of Soho. Thank you, I won’t hesitate to stay again!

Excellent room. Well soundproofed from the pedestrian street below. Ideal location - 5 minute walk to the harbour or 5 minute walk to the old town. Staff very friendly and helpful and check in process was quick and easy. The whole feel of the hotel was warm and welcoming. It was modern, bright and clean, as was the bedroom. Great amenities - mini bar, plenty of sockets for charging things, TV, air con and a ceiling fan (much welcomed!). 2 x complimentary bottles of water on arrival and the hotel appeared very eco friendly. Breakfast was goo with a good selection - and from 07.30 - 11.00 was fantastic for that lie in on the first day. Check out was also good at 12.00 which meant that there was no rush. The hotel helped it be a very relaxing holiday.

Within 20mins of leaving the airport we were checking in with a very friendly lady who provided some great information on where to find all the attractions. This is a lovely hotel in a perfect location with nice decor, good sized comfortable rooms, and we had a balcony room which was lovely . There are a couple of popular authentic bars next to the hotel as well as the hotel bar itself. A very short walk across the road to the market, cafes, restaurants and all amenities. We couldn’t have asked to be better located.

Very conveniently located and the area itself was quiet, with a pedestrianised street outside the hotel. There are lots of shops, cafes etc. in the immediate local area. The room was lovely. We opted for a Deluxe Double, which was very well appointed and very comfortable. The room had three windows - so lots of natural light - and two of the windows led onto small balconies overlooking the street. The staff were also very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
